Luke Callaghan is a NAATI-certified Auslan/English interpreter based in regional NSW, providing professional video remote interpreting services.
When not interpreting, Luke creates and writes under Spooky Luke - an incidental ledger of heterodoxy where the arcane becomes everyday currency. A collection of waggish detours through magic, poetry, video bits and observational fragments that suggest the unworldly has just been onboarded into a customer service role.
More recently, Luke founded celare.online, which examines modern medicine's allergy to nuance and documents lived experiences. The project deciphers patterns and attempts to untangle both chronic severe allergic disease and the bureaucratic metamorphosis of ars medica into standardised 'best practice'. Having spent five decades negotiating his ridiculously unpredictable immune system, Luke has become his own architect of care, exploring what remains when medicine loses its art.
